Another assignment related to My Little Pony

For the task, I had originally planed to do something quite different (just like with the MLP-Booklet, actually

), but due to a lack of time, I decided to play safe and do something that was quicker and easier for me to do ('cause the style of MLP isn't really hard to replicate, once you got a general understanding of it).

Somehow, this looked a lot cooler in my head (about 20%, if not more, to be precise

), but several things didn't quite work out as expected.
First of all, the distortion in perspective looked nice when I first sketched it out, but considering the shadow of Nightmare Moon doesn't bend to same distortion, it probably looks a bit strange.
Secondly, the gradient in the background and the overall effects didn't end up looking as I had in mind. Probably 'cause I'm just not that good with watercolor yet - gradients and other fancy effects can be quite tricky since you have to seriously control the amount of color, the amount of water, the time it takes to dry, etc., etc.
Quite advanced stuff, indeed...
The text and the barbed wire in the shadow look a bit too simply for me, too, but I really didn't want to risk overdoing shit here, so I stopped myselft before adding more white lines all over the place.
