Lineup of Characters for an original manga, "Chimera Seed"

You may have noticed my most recent activity _{or lack thereof}
Main reason for that is, that my job is keeping me quite busy and the time I have, I try to spent on getting the preparations for this manga project done. This time, it's the real deal
So yeah, I do plan to pitch this to publishers, so I need to prepare it thoroughly. Plans are to have it sent out by the end of the year. And because publishers seem to prefer to not get pitched stuff that is already fully available on the internet, I'm even hesitant to upload the illustrations I'm working on for the pitch.
Still, maybe I can pique someones' interest by telling a bit about the general idea of the manga.

The story is set a few years from now in the future.
A virus known as the "Chimera Seed" is spreading around the globe and turning humans into mindless, mutated zombies (known as Seeds). However, there is the rare occasion of the virus granting the human special powers instead (those are known as Tribals). Humans, in general, though, are scared shitless of the Infected and even Tribals are considered little more than Seeds in human disguise.

The characters, from left to right:
Colin:
The main character, 15 years old, infected with a Tribal that takes shape of spider-like arms growing out of him when he decides to summon it. The virus in his body is quite strong, so it's hard to keep under control.
Though he has to keep it a secret, he does what he can to fight of Seeds in the city district he lives in

Cheline:
Colins' twin sister, also 15 years old.
Ever since their parents died half a year ago, the two have been living on their own, managing life and doing daily errand jobs to make ends meet. Like her brother, she is kind-hearted and tries to see things optimistic, despite their loss.
When one day, she gets involved in a terrorist attack on the local airport, Colin doesn't hesitate to set out and save the only family left to him.

Lucille:
The leader of a terrorist group comprised of Tribals - people shunned and discriminated against by society and determined to make a change to their current situation.
Ultimately, she desires peace between humans and Tribals more than anything, but is not opposed to violence as means to an end.

Kaspar L. Zelsius:
A scientist who dedicated his life to studying the virus and finding ways to fight it. Colin is working as his assistant. Zelsius helps him keeping his own virus problem in check with certain medication as well as providing him with a gun and special bullets to fight Seeds more efficently.
Though, even for a dedicated scholar, his "dedication" is nothing short of obsessive. One would wonder what had happened in his life to spawn such determination.

Askin:
A special agent and elite soldier, trained to deal with critical situations such as hostage-situations.
Loyal underling of Hiruga.

Hiruga:
A former researcher and now a leading military officer. Whenever large operations against Seeds are to be organized, he is the one to do it. While his past seems a bit shady, he mostly enjoys the trust of his soldiers for his straightforward, no-nonsense attitude. He understands that some infected humans still retain their sense of self, but considers a sweeping extermination as the only way to maintain peace for humanity.

Yugal:
Colleague of Askin. Also well trained and loyal to Hiruga.

Nio:
A very young (13) member of the terrorist organization. Like the other members, she is an infected Tribal who has experienced her fair share of hardship and discrimination in life. She considers the infection her death-sentence (though the Tribal-virus itself technically doesn't harm the body it inhabits) but because of it, she dedicated herself to Lucille's cause to make her life mean something.

Joshua:
Another member of the terrorists. He idealizes Lucille as someone who can overthrow the current a system where Tribals are shun by humanity and mercilessly hunted by the military. However, his ideas might be a bit too radical, even for Lucille's plans.
