Description

A new(er) version of my character Agares,
who is also the protagonist of my story "Hellbound" and of this fun little comic here:

(which will be updated with 3 more pages sometimes soon, btw.)

I started this as a lineart with ink because I wanted to draw Agares again. I wanted to leave it in a kinda rough, sketchy state, so I added more ink and grey watercolor to the background to make the character stand out. It didn't work that well, so I added watercolor to Agares and it felt like the more color I added, the more I actually took away from what I wanted it to look like.
Still, this is what I ended up with.

If you compare this to the previous design, I changed his pants to these patch-work like jeans, which I like much better than before (and wonder why I never though of something like this before ). Not sure if I keep the arrow-patterns, though.
Also, I changed his chain to a kind of biker-chain.
He still has a glove but I'll probably remove that next time because it no longer seems like a particular bright idea.

I guess it's kinda interesting to see how he evolved over the years:

Nice perspective - admires jeans and THAT chain - yup, I would also steal his pants. Hmmm, the wristlets are cool stuff, but for me it would be fingerless gloves ;) (Damn, I want them, and leather ones non-less).

Hum, about bad luck with colours (the invasion *cough* of background *cough* into character's *cough* lines, and other stuff), we all sometimes have That day when nothing goes according one's wishes... I always think of them (half-assed pics) as a relaxation of mind/ stress throwing.

Tch, I also want to redraw my character... closer to realistic style...

BTW, how come I seem to never see your works in my inbox!?
